What People Say
Most Liked
Customers rave about the fantastic coffee at Cafe 44, claiming it to be one of the best in the area. Many enjoy the relaxed vibe, describing the atmosphere as casually inviting and family-friendly.
The homemade baked goods, including cookies, scones, and macaroons, consistently receive praise. The breakfast sandwich menu garners many fans, especially the egg on a roll and egg and cheese variations, all sitting comfortably in the budget-friendly range around $2.88.
Moreover, reviews highlight the excellent customer service, often mentioning the pleasant interactions with the husband and wife team who run the cafe. The large seating area also allows ample space for casual gatherings or quick breaks.
Most Disliked
Some visitors mention the unexpected cafeteria-like decor, which could be a bit of a surprise to new guests. Though the food makes up for it, first impressions matter, and some may find the aesthetic lacking compared to more modern cafes.
A few reviews note the self-service aspect for certain items, which may not appeal to everyone. If one prefers a fully waited service experience, they might have a slight adjustment period at Cafe 44.
Occasional busy hours can lead to longer wait times for food, mainly during peak breakfast and lunch hours. Those in a hurry should be mindful of timing their visits.

I was looking for a place to have breakfast and the GPS was telling me to go back on my route, when I found this restaurant. It's inside a building, in the basement, and what I liked most was the vibe of the place. Simple with a sandwich on the impeccable bagel, not to mention the excellent service they provided to us. A great surprise! Thank you guys 🙏

Loved the Husband and Wife running the place. Super friendly and large seating area. Great for a work or service break in the morning. Good breakfast sandwich menu. Very clean. Plenty of parking at the Business Park Building. Cafe is on the Plaza or P Level if your taking the elevator down.

We love Mothership Bakery! It's always delicious and the food offerings are unique. The coffee is good and the atmosphere is happy. The newsest location on Main Street is awesome, with easy parking and cozy places to sit. We try to visit everytime we're in the area. Plus, we love the owners!

First visit last week...won't be the last. Oddly high school cafeteria-like decor, a little startling upon arrival, was easy to forget once the food was served (well, some was served, some was self-served from the counter). I had a homey chicken w/rice soup and some fantastic fish tacos...a first for me. Walked out with a stack of fresh baked cookies. If you like an informal atmosphere (I do) you would be hard pressed to find anything less formal, but neat, clean and the food could not have been better.

I stopped by here for lunch after an appointment and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was great, and the food was even better. I got a turkey sandwich and a chocolate croissant and both were amazing. I hardly ever write reviews, but it was so good, it was worth it.
